Our Itinerary
  


WE HAD A GREAT TIME!
Pasaquan is a 5-hour bus ride from Jacksonville to this little-known wonder of the art world, located  near Buena Vista, GA.  Our special tour to Pasaquan was sponsored by the Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art (JMOMA).

Our Itinerary --October 29-30, 2005

SATURDAY:
9:00 am. -- Bus left Jacksonville.  Box lunch on the bus from Biscotti's.

2:30 pm -- Arrival at Pasaquan
                  As part of our tour of Pasaquan,
we had a
                 
presentation by award-winning authors Tom Patterson and
                 
Fred C. Fussell, who gave us their insights on Pasaquan
                 
and their recollections of St. EOM.
4:30 pm -- Departed for Americus, GA - 30 miles away
5:15 pm -- Arrived at the Windsor Hotel for overnight
6:30 pm -- Dinner in the Grand Victorian Dining Room
8:30 pm -- Nightime walking tour of downtown Americus led by architect and historian Meda Krenson, including the beautifully restored Rylander Theatre and the First Presbyterian Church. Mini-concert by vocalist Phyllis Horne.

SUNDAY:
8:00 am -- Continental breakfast at the Windsor Hotel
8:30 am -- Depart for Plains, GA (10 miles)
10:00 am -- Attended Sunday School taught by President Jimmy Carter
12:00 noon -- Checked out of hotel and departed for Jacksonville, with box lunch on the bus from R& K Catering of Americus.
5:00 pm -- Arrived in Jacksonville
